Dr. Mike Southwick While
in college Dr. Mike suffered with an old shoulder injury that escalated
into a "frozen shoulder". Being 18 years old, having lost 90%
function of his right arm, having already been through traditional
healthcare, Dr. Mike was referred to a chiropractor. Within two
weeks the shoulder was 90% improved. Now he has to stop and think
which shoulder was actually hurt. They both do great. Dr.
Mike has been getting adjustments ever since that injury for whole body
health not just for his shoulder.
Needless
to say this incident changed his future forever. After
undergraduate studies and while at Palmer College of Chiropractic Dr.
Mike met his future wife Amy. Shortly after graduating the couple
made Beatrice their home. Dr. Mike had grown up in Fairbury so
moving back to southeast Nebraska was like coming home. Soon children came along.
When Graham was born they were terrified because he was not breathing
and was unresponsive. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his
neck. The cord was quickly removed with no change. At that
moment the midwife handed Graham to Dr. Mike, he gently felt his neck,
found the problem, and adjusted his tiny neck. Immediately he
started crying and went from a gray color to a healthy pink. Everyone
in the hospital room breathed a sigh of relief, and no invasive
procedures were needed. When Sydney was born, procedures
were much more predictable and not so intense. Shortly after her
birth she received her first adjustment, and both children had had
regular care their whole life to make sure they have the highest
potential to be healthy. To this day, neither child has needed
prescription medication. It is an understatement to say
chiropractic has changed their lives. Most of us don't think twice about
caring for our teeth throughout our whole life, but when it comes to
our spines we don't realize how it effects our whole health. Dr.
Mike has been entrusted to take care of newborns to patients in their
90's. A higher health potential can be enjoyed at any age. |
