Meet Dr. R.J. Crandall

Dr. RJ Crandall, who everyone calls Dr. RJ, loves helping people. As he sees it, changing things in people’s lives when they don’t expect it is extremely gratifying.

Why Chiropractic?

Dr RJ CrandallDr. RJ was a bedwetter. His parents took him to a chiropractor at the age of 12, the problem stopped, and he has continued with chiropractic ever since. At the age of 14, his mother told him he should go to school and become a chiropractor.

As an HS Junior, Dr. RJ had a severe car accident. His car rolled over 7 times, ejecting him through the window since he wasn’t wearing a seat belt. With a broken neck and ruptured discs in his neck and low back, surgeons wanted to fuse the vertebrae in his neck. At 16 years old, he spent 3 months in a neck brace and endured physical therapy.

Finally, doctors told him do the surgery or face paralysis or even death. That’s when he went to see a chiropractor – against doctor’s orders. After many months, the adjustments got rid of the numbness and burning sensations in his arm and he stopped wearing the brace.

When he met his wife, Edie, she had severe asthma. While in college, she received her first adjustment. After several treatments, the asthma went away and never returned. But, even with all this evidence, Dr. RJ wasn’t convinced.

His 1st major was biology, but quickly switched to Speech, Communications and Theater with a minor in Vocal Music. After graduation, he performed at various venues but didn’t know what direction he should go in. He also considered entering Seminary at this time.

An Education in Chiropractic

When a friend asked him come with him to visit Palmer Chiropractic University in Iowa, he agreed. While there, he met the chiropractor who changed his life. His statement, “I get to go to work every day in a job that I love and I can’t wait to go to work for”, he decided to leave the job he hated and go to school for chiropractic.

Dr. RJ graduated from Palmer Chiropractic University in 1997 and moved to Beatrice, NE soon after. He has taken close to 500 hours of post-graduate instruction in the Gonstead Technique. His specialty is taking on cases others won’t touch.

If treatment will keep you from having surgery, he’ll find a way to help. Dr. RJ takes on the tough cases, like post-surgical, and gets great results. He will bend over backward to help you and give you the best opportunities for better health.
